MetaMask Integrates TRON Blockchain Support

Web3 wallet MetaMask has integrated support for the TRON network into its mobile app and browser extension.

Users will be able to transfer and trade TRC-20 tokens, as well as stake the native TRX coin.

When assets are locked in the mobile app, users receive Bandwidth and Energy, which can be used to pay fees within the TRON ecosystem. The web version of the wallet temporarily does not support direct staking.

According to the developers, a TRON address will be automatically generated in the multi-chain account after the app is updated.

MetaMask allows assets to be moved from the network to other EVM-compatible blockchains.

“The integration of TRON with MetaMask significantly expands access to a blockchain that processes over $21 billion in daily stablecoin transfers,” noted Sam Elfarra, a representative of the DAO protocol.

The developers of the crypto wallet, ConsenSys, position this innovation as a continuation of their strategy to expand the multi-chain network.

Back in December 2025, MetaMask added full support for Bitcoin. Previously, they had implemented Sei and Monad.
