Anthropic has introduced Claude Tag, a new tool for team collaboration in Slack. This service allows the integration of a neural network into work channels as a full-fledged project participant.
Claude Tag can utilize connected databases, software code, and third-party applications. To assign a task, users simply mention the model using @Claude. The AI independently breaks down the task into stages and executes them in the background.
Key features include:
- Multi-user mode: All channel participants can see Claude’s actions and continue conversations started by colleagues;
- Context accumulation: The neural network remembers discussion details in channels, eliminating the need for repeated explanations;
- Proactivity: When in background mode, the AI notifies users of important updates or reminds them of unresolved tasks;
- Autonomy: The model can plan and execute long-term projects over several days.
According to the company, within Anthropic itself, Claude Tag already generates 65% of the software code. The tool is also used for metric analysis and handling support requests.
Administrators can restrict the neural network’s access to confidential data and set token usage limits.
The service is available in beta testing for users of the Claude Enterprise and Team plans. Claude Tag operates on the Opus 4.8 model and replaces the standard Claude app for Slack.
Earlier, in early June, the exchange Coinbase launched its own virtual assistant, which provides investment recommendations.
