U.S. Sheriffs' Association Revises Stance on CLARITY Act

The National Sheriffs’ Association in the U.S. has shifted its stance on the CLARITY Act, a bill concerning the cryptocurrency market structure, from negative to neutral. The organization stated that due to the document’s complexity and remaining contentious details, it has decided to “step back and allow the legislative process to continue.”

Previously, the association warned that certain provisions of the CLARITY Act could complicate efforts to combat money laundering through DeFi, mixers, and other crypto services.
