Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has introduced predict.fun, a new prediction market platform built on the BNB Chain. The project was developed by a former exchange employee with support from YZi Labs.

The platform’s main feature is the ability to earn passive income on funds locked in bets. This addresses the issue of inefficient capital use when traders’ money is frozen awaiting event outcomes.
Similar mechanisms have already been implemented by market leaders. Polymarket and Kalshi use staking rewards and point systems to compensate users for lost opportunities in long-term forecasts.
At the time of writing, predict.fun hosts two markets with a total volume of $302,305.
The platform has registered 12,499 users who have placed 272,984 bets.
