OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot now features an Apple Messages plugin for Mac, enabling users to search messages, view conversations, draft, and send replies.
Everyday conversations just got easier with the new Apple Messages plugin.

Developers suggest using the plugin to check the calendar and invite someone to dinner next week, remind about yesterday’s messages, or find birthday dates.
Additionally, the plugin can delete messages and search deep conversation history. It is suitable for both personal and work tasks, integrated with Codex and ChatGPT Work on desktop.
The new feature raised privacy concerns. OpenAI told Bloomberg that the plugin operates locally on the computer and “does not create an index of all user messages.”
The company also warned that enabling continuous approval removes the final chance to review text before ChatGPT sends it on behalf of the user.
In July, it was reported that OpenAI plans to enter the consumer electronics market with an “AI companion” for the home, resembling a smart speaker.
