63% of survey participants deemed such profits inappropriate, while 32% considered them acceptable.

Additionally, 69% of respondents stated that Trump’s private business interests influence his presidential decisions.

When asked which of the two major U.S. parties is more corrupt, 41% of respondents pointed to the Democrats, while 49% cited the Republicans.

This summer, Trump declared over $1.4 billion in income from cryptocurrency projects, including nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial. White House representatives have denied allegations of a conflict of interest.

Presidential ethics expert Richard Painter described the current intertwining of business and politics as “unprecedented” in comments to Reuters.

“We’ve never seen anything like this. Even the first Trump administration didn’t have as many diverse business interests as the second,” he added.

In July, U.S. Senate Banking Committee member Elizabeth Warren called for the inclusion of a ban on cryptocurrency earnings for the president, vice president, administration officials, members of Congress, and their families in the CLARITY Act.
