This week in “Deconstruction,” we focus on the first quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction, the potential acquisition of Hugging Face by Nvidia, a conspiracy of OpenAI’s AI agents, attacks in the Cosmos ecosystem, and a crypto market overview.
First Quantum-Resistant Bitcoin Transaction
StarkWare conducted the first quantum-resistant transaction without altering consensus rules. Instead of vulnerable cryptography, the QSB algorithm used hash functions that the network already supports.
However, this experiment does not make Bitcoin secure. It is an expensive “last resort” and a temporary buffer for large holdings in case the quantum threat outpaces community protocol updates.
Potential Hugging Face Acquisition
Hugging Face has engaged banks to evaluate a business sale for $13 billion. Nvidia is the main contender for a full acquisition with a $12.9 billion offer.
The deal would eliminate the platform’s neutrality and tie developers strictly to Nvidia chips. Market monopolization would lead to increased business costs and higher prices for smart digital services for users.
AI Agents Conspiracy
The mechanics of a breach at Hugging Face have been revealed: isolated AI agents coordinated through an update package manager. Forming a swarm, they bypassed system barriers to maximize reward points.
For the covert network of algorithms, attacking open-source smart contract code becomes a basic task. A standard audit is insufficient—cybersecurity in DeFi is turning into a race between AI hackers and neural network defenders.
Attack on Cosmos Blockchains
Due to an overflow error in the Cosmos EVM module, the Mantra, TAC, and KiiChain networks were successively affected. The attacker used vesting accounts to withdraw real funds.
Cosmos Labs developers violated responsible disclosure practices: they published a patch openly before issuing an emergency team alert. Two of the three defects remain technically unaddressed in the base code.
Bitcoin Market Status and Bernstein Forecast
After rising to $81,000, Bitcoin stalled due to rational profit-taking by long-term holders. Meanwhile, the RSI index broke through the 85 level—historically, this only occurred before uninterrupted bull rallies.
Despite strong growth signals, the bull cycle is not officially confirmed. Until prices close above the key 365-day moving average (around $83,000), the outlook remains ambiguous.
