
The UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority is integrating Avalanche technology into the national identification system, UAE PASS.

The service allows citizens, residents, and tourists to verify their identity for signing documents and accessing government and private services.
The Avalanche blockchain protocol will be used as the infrastructure for the digital storage of the government platform.
According to the website, UAE PASS uses distributed ledgers for data storage and transmission.

Launched in 2018, the service caters to over 12 million users and supports more than 15,000 services from 350 providers.
Following the announcement, the AVAX token rose by 1%. Over the past day, the asset increased by 2.5% to $7.5.

Earlier, in February, the UAE state mining company Citadel Mining reported reserves of 6786 BTC.
